President's Message

Hello and welcome to the home of the Maryland Crime
Prevention Association. I hope you will take some time and learn about who we
are and how we are continuing to provide important information to our members
and readers.
Since 1983 the Maryland Crime Prevention Association has been providing crime
prevention information and training to the law enforcement community and the
citizens of Maryland. Today, we are providing high quality, low cost training
to a much wider range of members. Our members now include community groups,
health care providers, citizen on patrol organizations, business associations,
private interested parties, as well as law enforcement agencies, sheriff’s
departments, public, private, and corporate security personnel throughout
Maryland and our surrounding States.
I encourage you to read over our safety tip section. Here you will find
important information on a host of topics that are appropriate and informative.
We always make sure that our safety information is available to our visitors
whether they are members of the Maryland Crime Prevention Association or not.
However, we always encourage our readers to become members. As a member you and
you organization will have total access to our site as well as access to the
member’s only area.
In today’s world Homeland Security is one of the most important concerns in our
nation as well as our members. The Maryland Crime Prevention Association plays a
vital role in the Homeland Security arena by providing timely up-dates and
informative training that helps keep our members aware and safe. One of our
goals is to continue to provide Homeland Security information, training, and
support to our members and assist with our nation’s security efforts.
On behalf of the Maryland Crime Prevention Association and our entire
